Do you worry all of the time?
Do you worry about what may happen in the future? about bills? your health? your loved ones? what could happen?
Does worry consume your thoughts and life?
If this describes you, it is possible that you have generalized anxiety disorder, or GAD — a condition marked by a perpetual state of worry about most aspects of life. According to David Barlow, professor of psychology at Boston University, “the key psychological feature of GAD is a state of chronic, uncontrollable worry.” A little anxiety is normal, but constant worry is not.
Generalized anxiety disorder involves excessive anxiety and unrelenting worry. GAD makes it impossible to relax or lead a normal life.
Signs of GAD:

* Worry significantly disrupts your job, every day activities or social life.
* You are unable to control your worry.
* Your worries are extremely upsetting and stressful.
* You tend to expect the worst and worry about a variety of things.
* You have been experiencing this level of worry every day for at least six months.
It is normal to worry. But if worry is interfering with your ability to function normally, sleep or relax you may need to seek professional psychological and spiritual help.
On the spiritual level remember God’s promises:
1 Peter 5:6-7
Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your anxiety onto Him, for He cares for you.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Trust God completely. Let Him carry your burdens.
