Volunteer Opportunities
Service Work is essential to recovery and Christianity. All volunteer opportunities can be done from your own home according to your schedule.
But someone will say, "One person has faith, another has actions."
My answer is, "Show me how anyone can have faith without actions.
I will show you my faith by my actions." James 2:17-18
Use the Volunteer Forum in the CIR Message Boards to network with other volunteers and see the latest needs of CIR.
Volunteers are Needed For:
- Meetings - become a Meeting Host or co-host
You can work with a present scheduled meeting or volunteer to set up another one. We provide mentoring for you. [Contact Us] - The 12th Step Committee
This committee works to increase awareness of CIR among the general public as well as recovery, religious and health professionals. It functions to increase CIR membership and to aggressively pursue contributions, gifts and grants to this ministry. You can sponsor someone by becoming the person they are accountable to. (See information on sponsorship.) Post to the Message Boards and let people know you are available. - Providing a Scholarship
Upgrade your Membership to the Barnabas or Foundations Teams and provide a scholarship to CIR for someone experiencing hardship. Gift Memberships for a specific person can be also be obtained. - Moderating the Message Boards
This volunteer opportunity involves promoting participation in the Message Board Forum(s) you moderate. Post things that will encourage others to post back, respond to those who post, and if questions are asked that you are unable to help with alert CIR admin so they can assist. Are you online a lot? Like talking with others and sharing about recovery and your faith? Chat Room Greeters hang out in the CIR chat room to greet new people and help them find their way around CIR. You are also available to other members of CIR who just want to talk in a safe atmosphere. Just go online, log into the chat room. As you do your normal surfing and online activities you will be notified by an bell that someone has entered the chat room. You can then go there to talk with them. Most people find out about CIR by word of mouth. Help spread the good news about CIR! Request CIR brochures for free. - Representing CIR at a Recovery Seminar in Your Area
If there is a recovery seminar, fair or convention in your area, you can volunteer to represent CIR at that function. CIR will provide the display materials, booth and other volunteers to assist you. [Contact Us] - Offering Your Ideas & Talents

You can also help the ministry by:
- Becoming a Monthly or Annual Supporting Member if you are not one.
- Joining the Leadership Society of CIR and invest seed money to build the infrastructure of CIR.
- Participating in the Monthly Giving Program
- Encouraging others to join CIR or by giving Gift Memberships to friends and family members.
- Making a donation Note that all donations are deductible to the extent allowed by law. Membership dues are not tax deductible.
