Our Mistakes are Gone Forever

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:8-12 King James Version

Sometimes we are our worse enemy because we dwell on the past and put ourselves down because of all the mistakes we made. We need to understand that Jesus is not a liar. If He tells us that he has removed our transgressions from us, which He has told us, then they are gone forever. When we live in the past and refuse to forgive ourselves, what we are really doing is saying that Jesus is a liar. May God forgive us for not believing Jesus.

Don’t let satan lie to you. The next time satan tells you that Jesus can’t forgive you for what you did, tell him that he is a liar. As soon as satan starts to lie to you and discourage you, run as fast as you can into the waiting protective arms of Jesus. Our precious Saviour is more than able to protect us from the vicious attacks of satan. Jesus doesn’t forgive like we forgive. He forgives from His heart.

There are times when we tell people that we forgive them but we still have resentment and bitterness in our hearts. We need to forgive them from our hearts just as Jesus forgives us from His heart. Unless and until we forgive those who have hurt us from our hearts, we have not forgiven them. We are only giving them lip service. Are you forgiving the ones who hurt you from your heart just as Jesus forgives you?
