God’s Radio

"O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory." Psalm 98:1 King James Version

I wonder what would happen if God had a radio and He had assigned a different station to every person in the world. When He turned His radio on, would He hear our hearts and voices lifted in praise to Him? What if He turned His radio on every morning longing to fellowship with us and we weren’t there to meet Him?

I believe that we would make Him very sad and break His heart. He longs to rejoice with us when we are happy and He is ready to wipe our tears away with His tender kisses of understanding when our hearts are broken. Yet many times when He tunes in our stations, we are not there and once again we have disappointed Him and hurt Him. Oh that you and I would worship and praise Him as soon as we wake up.

Every day that we wake up we should have a new song in our hearts to sing to Him. We should have songs of praise and gratitude for all that He has done for us the day before and for what He is going to do for us that day. I love the words to these songs because they are so true "The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows". "Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before." Every day that I spend with Jesus really is sweeter than the day before because every day He whispers tenderly in my ear "I love you, Joanne".

Are you meeting God the first thing every morning? Are you singing to Him and praising Him? Spending time with Him the first thing every morning should be more important to us than combing our hair, washing our face and brushing our teeth. We can do all of these things to look nice but if we haven’t allowed Him to wash our hearts of any bitterness, resentment, anger or hatred that we may have allowed satan to put there, not only are we dirty inside but we will not be prepared to withstand the poisonous darts that satan and the world will attack us with that day.

I urge you to spend time with Him every morning. Not only will you make Him happy, you will have a lot more peace, joy and happiness during the day. The world can’t give us the peace that He gives us. His peace is lasting and genuine. Don’t let God tune in to your station only to find that you aren’t there to fellowship with Him. Please don’t keep disappointing Him every day.
