But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 2 Corinthians 4:7

Typically, a cracked clay pot is useless, destined for the trash. But the plain facts are these: God has a strange habit of saving what anyone else would consider junk and He loves cracked pots. Values them, too.

He goes beyond saving. He places a great treasure, His Spirit, within those clay pots — living proof that God recycles.

Yes, we are those cracked pots. Damaged, we are aware of our flaws and failure.

But God treasures us. He fills us with His power. Weakness is ours; strength is His. He puts

His strength in us, cracked though we may be.

The Holy Spirit is amazing. He cleans. He repairs. He regenerates. He empowers. He plants.

He waters. He prunes. And that crack? That flaw? He fills over and over again.

We clay pots are remarkable when filled with the Holy Treasure. We may still be cracked but of inestimable value in His sight. And genuinely beloved.
