All User Names and Passwords are CASE SENSIVITIVE and therefore must be typed with the exact same UPPER/lower case combinations as you provided when you signed up with CIR. Double check your UserID and Password and type them EXACTLY.

BBS LOGIN/PASSWORD HELP

It is best to use the same login and passwords for the BBS as for CIR overall.

If you have forgotten your password, you can have a temporary password emailed to you. All you need to do is:

• go to the login page of the forums
• enter your Username in the Username field
• click the button marked "I forgot my password" a temporary password will be emailed to the email address of the username you registered.

This process is safe because the password is only emailed to the original owner of the account. There is no way to steal the password by using this feature.

Once you get logged in again, change your password to the same one you use for CIR Membership. That will eliminate confusion.

CHAT ROOM PASSWORD HELP

Log in to: http://christians-in-recovery.org and click on Members Only area.

You will be presented with a password and user name box. Input your "CIR User Name and Password", which you chose when you first joined CIR. All User Names and Passwords are CASE SENSIVITIVE and therefore must be typed with the exact same UPPER/lower case combinations as you provided when you signed up with CIR. Double check your UserID and Password and type them EXACTLY.

Sometimes the same box will pop up again, we're not sure why that happens but it's harmless. Just repeat the procedure.

Once you sign in to CIR's members only area you can access Chat Rooms and the Message Boards.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CHAT ROOM

Click the Chat option from the menu at the left of your screen. Choose to Chat Now and then the Java chat room sign in screen will load. Once the sign in screen for the chat room is loaded you'll see another set of boxes asking for User/Nick name and Password.

Select any user name you wish to chat with. This can be your CIR user name or any other name at all.
DO NOT ENTER A PASSWORD ! You will connect and that should get you into the chat room. It sometimes takes a minute to load completely.
